Obituary: | Alonzo George Mitchell, age 70 of Prescott, AR, passed away on February 1, 2025, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. George was born on January 18, 1955, to Marion Louise Wren Mitchell and Donald Burton Mitchell. George was preceded in death by his grandparents Grace and Floyd Wren, George Young Mitchell and Lucy Jane Hall, and one son Theadore Burton Mitchell, his parents, his brother in law Ed Shell of Farney, TX. He is survived by his loving wife Jane Mitchell of 30 years and his son Jeremy Don Mitchell of Willisville AR, son Benjamin Thomas Mitchell (Susan) of Prescott AR, grandson Tyler Mitchell of Smackover AR, grandson Tanner Mitchell of Smackover AR, sister Donna Lynn Shell Of Farney, TX, special cousin Tim Wren of Prescott, special friend Greg Wood of Prescott AR and several cousins, nieces, and nephews that were all very dear to him. The family would like to extend their thankfulness to all his family and to Arkansas Heart Hospitals staff for their unconditional love and support to George. Visitation will be held Thursday February 6, 2025, from 10-11 AM in the Brazzel Cornish Chapel. Funeral service will follow directly after at 11 AM. Burial will follow at DeAnn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brazzel Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. |
