| Obituary: | Michael "Bean" Rhodes, 73, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home in Diamondhead with his loving wife Jo Ann Drake Rhodes by his side. He was born June 3, 1949 to parents, Howard and Louise Rhodes of Caney Community near Prescott, Arkansas. Michael retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 30 years. He was a member of Diamondhead Fore Seasons Golf Club, where he had worked part-time for DH Golf course. Michael enjoyed hunting every season with the Serepta Hunting Club. Survivors include daughter, Madison Rhodes of Sherwood; son, Mark Rhodes of Cale Community; daughter, Pamela Hudson (Buddy) of Prosper, Texas; son, Bob Drake of Redfield; brothers, Ellis Rhodes (Mary), Bill Rhodes of Caney Community; a very special nephew and niece, Brandon Rhodes and Christy Rhodes Gourley; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family appreciates the compassion provided by nursing staff and professionals at the hospitals in Hot Springs, especially grateful to the angels of Hospice, and one special friend and nurse who was by his side, Cindy Sacker. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 12th at Diamondhead Community Church. |
