Obituary: | In the early hours of August 29, 1962, Linda Diane Tomlin came racing into this world and started her journey of laughing through calamities and fighting to stay alive. She was born the 5th child of Betty Jo Green and Clyde Denon Tomlin in Little Rock, Arkansas. Linda grew up in Bluff City and graduated from Prescott High School in 1980. She attended college at Hope where she studied Criminal Justice and Psychology. After college she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Chidester Schools. Linda became a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with and helping take care of 5 beautiful grandchildren and in 2022 she was blessed with a beautiful great granddaughter: Elaine Rose Dillard. Linda is survived by her husband Paul Patton of Waterloo, daughter, Karen Elizabeth Neel of Rosston, Arkansas, son Joseph Michael Gulley and wife Ashley of Hope, Arkansas, sister Pamela Frederick (Paul) of Prescott, Arkansas, brother Jason Tomlin (Kim) of Emerson, Arkansas, brother David Tomlin (Brenda) of Sheridan, Arkansas, grandson Cameron Dallas Dillard of Rosston, Arkansas, Christian McKenzie Dillard (Avril) of Rosston, Arkansas, Morgan Grace Dillard of Rosston, Arkansas, Kaiden and Blain Neel of Texarkana Texas , great granddaughter Elaine Rose Dillard of Rosston, and her lifelong best friend Teresa Kennedy Heaton of Tucson, Arizona. She is preceded in death by parents Betty Jo Green and Clyde Denon Tomlin, brother; Joseph Allan Tomlin, sister; Rebecca Karen Tomlin, grandparents James Amzie Tomlin and Bessie Roberta Sutton Tomlin formerly of Rosston, Arkansas and L.B. ”Bunk” Green and Tena “Tennie” Helsel Green of Cale, Arkansas and a multitude of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Burial to be graveside at Bluff Springs Cemetery under the direction of Brazzell Funeral Home of Hope, Arkansas on Wednesday August 7,2024 10 am with eulogy by Dr. Jeremy Langley.
