Obituary: Myrtle Marie Blaylock Weaver-Jones, aged 76 of Prescott, Arkansas gained her Heavenly wings on May 26, 2022 while surrounded by her children and loved ones at her home in Nevada County, Arkansas. Marie as everyone called her, was a loving wife for 51 years to her late husband and father of their 8 children, Lester Carl Weaver, Sr. She was a member of the Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Delight, Arkansas and loved the Lord with all her heart. Marie was a homemaker for many years and then helped manage Redland Chicken Farms outside of Prescott for over 25 years. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Carnie Blaylock of Dallas, Texas and mother, Myrtle Blaylock-Riddle of Houston, Texas; her sisiters, Joann Pampell and Mary Francis Hutchinson both of Houston, Texas; her brother, John Blaylock of Blysville, AR; her late husband, Lester Carl Weaver, Sr.; her oldest daughter, Linda Lee Weaver Lamb; 3 grandchildren, Kelli A. Craig, Jerimay Lee Craig, and Tina Nicole Whitten, 2 great grandchildren, Alyssah A. Craig and Summer Skye Morris. Marie is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Jones, of Prescott, Arkansas; 5 daughters, Tina Marie Hill and husband, Donnie Hill, of Prescott; Elizabeth “Liz” Hill and husband, Robert Hill, of Blevins, AR; Teresa L. Couch and husband, Eddie Couch, of Prescott; Rena Brown and husband, Jimmy Brown of Prescott; Joanna Hill and husband, Dewey Hill, of Delight’ and 2 sons, Lester “Bo” Weaver, Jr. and wife, Dee Weaver, of Prescott and Johnny D. Weaver and wife, Michelle Weaver, also of Prescott. Marie had 27 grandchildren that she loved with all her heart and soul and she also had approximately 41 great grandchildren. Holidays were always a blissful time in the Weaver-Jones’ home with all the family coming together and enjoying love and affection of their “Granny” was what most called her. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, Arkansas. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Assembly of God Church off Hwy 19 this side of Delight, Arkansas. Officiating will be Marie’s grandson and son, Joshua Brown of Benton, AR and Lester Weaver of Prescott, AR. Under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, John L. Weaver of Prescott, Donnie Hill, Jr., of Prescott, AR, J.D. Weaver, of Prescott, Dylan and Daniel Hill of Delight, and Wayne Weaver of Hope. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Hurt of Emmet, Carl Hurt of Prescott, Ricky Hurt of Hope, Cameron Brown of Bismark and Cody Brown of Texarkana.
