Obituary: | Dorothy “Dottie” Jo Richardson, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, the 10th day of November 2022 at the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas. She was 87 years of age. Mrs. Richardson was born on the 11th day of January 1935, in Clarksville, Texas, to parents Erie Davis and Angeline Strunc Davis. Mrs. Richardson was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was blessed with many talents and was loved by many. She was gifted when it came to the arts, and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and embroidery. She had a passion for photography and spent many hours in her dark room at home developing the pictures she captured. Mrs. Richardson loved being in the outdoors and camping. She was fond of nature, especially birds, and particularly Parrots. Over a period of many years, she adopted Parrots, where she would train and teach them to speak. She enjoyed completing word searches and playing card games. Mrs. Richardson will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Mrs. Richardson joins in Heaven her parents Erie and Angeline Davis, and her daughter, Kathy Jo Crumrine. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband of 55 years Harold Ray Richardson; daughters, Judy Johnson and Victoria Richardson; son, Robert Richardson; several siblings; and her grandchildren, Vickie Chancellor, Angie Carnes, Krisie Jo Wilson, Stacey Sean Cartwright, and Hayden Richardson. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends. Funeral services to honor the life of Dorothy Richardson are to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon, on Sunday, the 13th day of November 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Hoyt Richardson officiating the service. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Rhone Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, the 15th day of November 2022 at Union Cemetery, 1925 AR-53, Rosston, Arkansas 71858. |
