Obituary: Eddie Dempsey Crumley, age 77, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away on August 17, 2023, in Texarkana, Texas. Dempsey was born on December 29, 1945, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to his parents Jack and Maxine Crumley. He loved restoring old trucks and woodworking. He was a fix it all kind of guy, truck driver for 55 years, and a preacher for many in Bastrop, Louisiana. He was known as ‘Preacher Man’ and he made sure no one ever walked away from him without knowing about Jesus. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Samuel Crumley; daughter, Amy Hamilton; Sister, Jackie Blackman; Brother-in-law, Terry Blackman; and son-in-law Gary Garrett. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 28 years, Margie Crumley of Prescott, Arkansas; one son, Dallas Crumley of Prescott, Arkansas; two daughters, LaRondia Garrett of Houma, Louisiana, Melanie (Will) Sheets of Texarkana, Arkansas; four grandsons, Noah Sheets, Justin Brown, Cody Hamilton, Devin Hamilton; and his precious dog, Sugar Bear; brother, Danny (Pat) Crumley of Bastrop, Louisiana; two sisters, Cathy (Leon) Pruitt of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Judy Spikes of Bastrop, Louisiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Prescott, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on August 20, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Deaton officiating. Burial will follow at De Ann Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
