Obituary: | Billy Jean Pettit age 77, of Arkadelphia, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs. He was born August 31, 1945 in Camden to William H. and Nettie Jewel Meador Pettit. Billy was a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Billy worked at the Wendy’s restaurant in Arkadelphia for over twenty years. He enjoyed fishing. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Timothy Gene Pettit Jr. and one brother, James Pettit. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Joan Wakefield Pettit; three children, Timothy Pettit and wife, Sherry of Arkadelphia, Terry Pettit and husband, Brian of Beebe and Sara Pettit of Malvern; five grandchildren; one brother, Charles Pettit of Reeder and one sister-in-law, Wilma Pettit of Reeder. There will be a family graveside service at Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City. Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay St. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923. |
