Obituary: Mrs. Sandra (Sandy) Jean Cason peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on February 9, 2023. Sandy was born on September 21, 1962 in Inglewood, California to Arvin Bruce Cummings & Patricia Wilson. She lived in West Covina, California until she moved to Prescott, Arkansas at the age of 14. Upon moving to Prescott, Sandy learned how to ride horses, made a multitude of new froends, and eventually met her husband, Benjamin Cason, while working at the local Sonic. Ben & Sandy met in the summer of 1980 and they were married on October 1, 1983. He was the love of her life. Sandy was kind, gentle, and steadfast. She valued God, family and community. Her generosity overflowed with abundance to everyone she met. Sandy loved flowers and gardening. She once wrote and won a grant to create a gazebo and flower garden at the McRae Middle School in Prescott. her crape myrtle flower bushes in her own backyard brought her joy. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake, reading, sewing, playing tennis , riding her bike, and loving on her family. She enjoyed cooking and believed it was a special time to gather together. It was important to her that her family sit together for dinner and enjoy each other's company. She made the best banana pudding and it was always highly requested at gatherings. Sandy was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and daughter and never missed a class party or sports event, and was always only a phone call away. Sandy's selflessness was a driving force in our family. She always protected and nurtured us all. She will be missed deeply, but we rest in the fact that she now with our Savior. Sandy is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Wilson, and her father, Bruce Cummings. Sandy is survived by her loving & devoted husband, Benjamin Cason; daughter, Brittany Rodriguez; son, Ryan Cason; sister, Debbie Hall; nephew, Jesse Hall; and two precious grandchildren, Camila and Samuel Rodriguez. Funeral service will be at Brazzel-Cornish Chapel at 2 PM Tuesday on February 14, 2023. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, February 13, 2023 at the Brazzel-Cornish Chapel.
