Obituary: | David Wayne Ford, age 65, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on March 10, 2021. Born on July 13, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas, he was the son of Melba Louise Heath and the late Norwood Leron Ford. David was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ron Ford, his father-in-law Jerry Fore, and his grandparents Norwood and Lois Ford and Hoke and Eris Smith. He is survived by his mother, his wife Amy Ford of Heber Springs, Arkansas, his daughters Hannah Ford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Donna Chavez and her husband Tony of Wildomar, California, his son Mark Simmons and his wife Charu of Magnolia, Arkansas, his brothers Ronnie Ford, Tom Ford, Jeff Ford, and Larry Miller, his sisters Jaclyn Bridgeman, Jayme Ford, and Danna Lane, his step-mother Bobbie Ford, his mother-in-law Linda Clouse and her husband Joel, his brother-in-law Philip Fore, his special uncle and aunt Herbert and Darlene Smith and his eight grandchildren. Mr. Ford is also survived by his other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Arkansas with a visitation beginning at 10:00am and funeral services being held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Sandy Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Falcon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Halter, Thomas Boyd, Zane Glascock, Marty Bradshaw, Gil Mitchum and Leon McLean. Honorary Pallbearers are his “brother” Byron DeLamar and Chris Pruitt.
