Obituary: | Mrs. Sammy Martin, age 94 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 in her home. She was born December 1, 1925 in DeAnn, Arkansas to Walker and Fannie Schooley Chambless. Mrs. Sammy was the owner of Martin’s Footnotes & Fashions, as well as, a member of Hope Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Martin; brother, Herbert Chambless; Sisters, Mary Ruth Abbot and June Carruthers. Survivors include Son: Greg Martin, wife Jan of Hope, Arkansas; Daughter: Sheila Vaught, husband Kevin of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Sister: Joan Stockton of Hope, Arkansas; Grandchildren: Alan Martin and Jennifer, Amy Ware and Scott, and Seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to: C.U.R.E., P.O. Box 621, Fort Smith, AR 72902. Private family services will be held with Bro. Don Riddle officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie Brazzel Director. |
