Obituary: | Denver Dewey Ward, of Hope Arkansas, was born on January 3, 1928 in Bodcaw, Arkansas. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 16, 2025. He married Doris Spencer on December 30, 1946. Their loving union lasted nearly 70 years until Doris’ passing on May 30, 2016. Denver was a true servant of the Lord bringing many to Christ. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Denver proudly served our country in the Navy deploying as far as Shanghai, China. Denver and Doris owned and operated Double D Plumbing Supply in Hope for over twenty years. Cattle ranching was his true passion, and he could often be found at the cattle auction on Saturdays. His heart was most content admiring his cattle. He cherished every moment spent with his family and was a true patriarch. Denver is survived by his three daughters and spouses, Susan Minter and Bryan Brown of Celeste, TX, Dena and Jack Brown of Plano, TX, and Wendy Ward of McKinney, TX. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Jason Minter, Amber Minter, Trevor Minter, Jacey Zuniga, Leah Sinno, and TJ Sinno; 10 Great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 3 siblings. He is preceded in death by his son, Gary Ward. Visitation will be Friday, April 18, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at Unity Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery. |
