Hi, It seems that Joseph K. and his wife Katie Ghormely Waddle raised my orphaned Grandpa Willard Holmes. This is the ONLY lead that I have in finding that side of the family. I would like to correspond with you. I do have a few more bits of info-rumor is that his dad was named Oscar Holmes and mother was Nora Ward who supposibly died and Willard also had a brother who died in an accident and I suspect that this is the 16 year old orphaned boy named Willie Holmes who died on Lige Matthews farm in an accident in 1912. Willard is listed with the Waddles in 1910 census. Any help would be appreciated...................Sandy Holmes Knops |
