W.A. (Acie) Hawkins
W. A. HAWKINS, 80, died Friday, July 18, 1941. Funeral Services to be held at Hawkins Cemetery near Camden.
W. A. (Acie) Hawkins, aged 80, one of Nevada County's oldest citizens, died at the family home about six miles southeast of Cale, Friday morning.
Mr. Hawkins was well known in Prescott, having spent a great part of his lifetime here, and throughout the county. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hawkins who were among the early settlers of Prescott. John Hawkins was one of the organizers of the Methodist church here and was a very. prominent citizen in the building of this city.
Surviving the deceased are two daughters, Bessie (Mrs. Jas. H. Barnes) of Chidester, Ouachita County, Arkansas, and Stella Hawkins of California; one son, Joel H. Hawkins of Cale.
Funeral services will be held at the Hawkins Cemetery near Camden at 2:30 this afternoon.
