Difficulty In Receiving E-mail From Us?

The DepotMuseum.org web site comes to you from one of the world's largest web hosting companies. Unfortunately, some of the worlds' biggest SPAMmers have used this same company. So, the server from which we send e-mails is often "black-listed" based on it's "reputation". You will probably never see our e-mail IF your incoming e-mail server does SPAM filtering based on the reputation of the sending server instead of analyzing the content of the message.

Our e-mail messages use "From:" and "Reply-to:" addresses:
  • Curator@DepotMuseum.org
  • WebSiteMgr@DepotMuseum.org
Your mail server may see an underlying e-mail address:
  • depotmuseum@enterprise.dreamhost.com
  • depotmuseum@dreamhost.com
If you can add these addresses to the "Always Allow" list in your SPAM filter, then it's possible you will be able to receive e-mail from us.

Regardless of their reason or filtering method, these companies have refused the connection from our server:
  • aol.com
  • comcast.net
  • netcape.net
As a result of the e-mail confirmation we sent in late July 2016, we think that if you use an e-mail address with one of these companies, we are not going to be able to send e-mail to you.

Most companies have accepted our e-mail messages, including:
  • att.net
  • bellsouth.net
  • centurytel.net
  • cox.net
  • earthlink.net
  • excite.com
  • gmail.com
  • hotmail.com
  • mindspring.com
  • msn.com
  • sbcglobal.net
  • suddenlink.net
  • swbell.net
  • windstream.net
  • yahoo.com
Yes, there are dozens of other companies that accepted our e-mail, we are listing only those to which we sent more than a handful of messages.
