Obituary: Mr. Joseph Eric “Joey” McLaughlin, age 46 of Mayflower, Arkansas, formerly of Hope, passed away Monday June 3, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Joey was born on June 27, 1972 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Joey made a career in the United States Army, retiring with a rank of Sergeant First Class. While serving in the Army Joey received numerous medals and awards for his excellent service. He is survived by his wife Stephanie, his mother Mary Carlisle and husband Chris of Hope, his two daughters: Garbrielle and Allie, one brother Keith McLaughlin wife Donna of Longview, Texas, other family members, friends, and by countless brothers-in-arms with whom he proudly served throughout his military career. Visitation for Joey will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service will be 1:00pm on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Bodcaw #1 Cemetery in Bodcaw. Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
