| Obituary: | Mr. John Bernard Ratcliff, age 85 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away at his home on November 24, 2021. He was born on May 26, 1936 to Gerald Presley and Gracie Mae Ratcliff. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wanda Sue of 60 years, a granddaughter Tiffany Key Stanley, and a grandson, James Chad Cummings. Survivors include three children, daughter Martha Cummings (Keith) of Holiday Island, AR; daughter Sheila Key (Chuck) of Hope, AR; son, Jay Bee Ratcliff (Gail) of Prescott, AR. Ten living grandchildren: Jennifer Cross of Eureka Springs, AR; Aaron Ratcliff (Jackie) of Hope, AR; Josh Ratcliff of Prescott; Ben Ratcliff (Heather) of Prescott, AR; Ashlea Key (Pedie) of Marked Tree, AR; Meredith Ivy (Lee) of Cushing, OK; Wesley Ratcliff (Shay) of Prescott, AR; Eli Ratcliff (Megan) of Prescott, AR; Kelsey Ratcliff (Alex) of Fayetteville, AR and Lilly Ratcliff of Tacoma, NC. Eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two nieces and one nephew. He was a retired dairy farmer of 21 years, owner and operator of Ratcliff Fertilizer and Sales for 18 years and a cattleman all of his life. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, American Breeders Association and Arkansas Cattleman Association (Nevada County Chapter). He was awarded Nevada County Farm Family of the Year of 1969 and Farmers Home Administration Farm Family of the Year District Winner of 1971. The family would like to thank Hospice of Texarkana, Pafford Ambulance Service, along with many friends and family for their prayers and support during his illness. Visitation will be Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home, 1196 Hwy 371 W, Prescott, AR 71857. Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at Brazzel Cornish Funeral Home with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial will follow at Rosston Cemetery, Rosston, AR.
