Obituary: Mrs. Shannon Carlton Flowers, age 42 of Bodcaw, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Flowers was born July 8, 1972 in Hope, Arkansas to John Richard "Dickie" and Marilyn Baker Carlton. She was a member of the Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church and a home maker Mrs. Flowers loved to watch her children participate in rodeos. She was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. Survivors include; her parents, Dickie and Marilyn Carlton of Bodcaw, Arkansas, her fiancĂ©, Steve Nivens of Hope, Arkansas, two sons; Walker Flowers and his fiancĂ©, Angel Squyres, Justin Nivens of Hope, Arkansas, one daughter, Lillian Marie Nivens, one brother, Russ Carlton of Bodcaw, Arkansas, one special aunt, Wanda Baker, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, website: www.cancer.org. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service is 2:00pm, Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel. Burial to follow in Bodcaw#1 Cemetery with Bro. James Ross, Bro. David Hampton and Bro. Lane Garner officiating.
